MacRumors reports today on the latest results published by comScore from its on-going monthly survey of the US mobile phone user base, revealing that Apple has again increased its share of the market. According to comScore’s figures, for the September-November 2012 period, Apple saw its share increase by 1.4% from the June-August period, to 18.5%. As impressive as this is, it still leaves Apple behind rivals Samsung, who top the chart with an increased share of 26.9%. Elsewhere, MacRumors reports, LG, Motorola and HTC all experienced falls in their market share from the previous quarter, which is significant when you bear in mind that LG held the number two slot until just last month, when Apple finally took their place. As far as the smartphone market is concerned specifically, comScore found that Android’s lead is upheld again this time, with a 53% slice of the market, although Apple has also increased its share, thanks to the iPhone 5, with 35% of the smartphone market.
